Forts: BFA Senior Project 2018-2019

We all have fond memories of building safe spaces as children, whether it was a tent pitched from blankets and couch cushions, a treehouse in the backyard, or a castle quarried out of cardboard.  This series of dimensional illustrations seeks to capture the nostalgia of those early hand-built structures and to convey the various feelings of identity, exploration, and security that they represented.

These six pieces constitute my Senior capstone project for my BFA degree in Illustration from Brigham Young University.
